Weeds and Fire
Students will identify the factors that make a site susceptible to weed infiltration. The existence of specific weed regions will be examined to see if they are associated with historical fire sites and students may make connections to population centers, roads, etc as areas of disturbance. Students will search for patterns of weed infiltration and use this to develop a potential management practice to limit the amount of invasive species.
